The World Diamond Congress is the diamond industry’s most prestigious and authoritative gathering, with a rich history that mirrors the evolution of the global trade itself. First held in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1947, the congress has served as the central meeting place for diamond leaders for over seven decades.
As the official biennial event of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA), it is the essential forum where the global trade convenes to shape its future. More than just a conference, it is a high-level summit where leaders from all 27 diamond bourses worldwide engage in strategic discussions that impact the entire diamond pipeline.
The congress rotates its location among the major diamond trading centers of the world, including Antwerp, Tel Aviv, New York, and Mumbai. We are honoured to note that Singapore itself has a place in this history, having hosted the 24th World Diamond Congress back in 1988, a landmark event attended by more than 600 delegates.
